The Colorful Assortment of Cruise Ships Passengers and meeting new people
Going on a cruise is a great way for a person to meet new people and widen one's social circle. It does not matter if there are a hundred and one different personalities that you might encounter on board – in fact, the most exciting part of actually being on a cruise is getting to know the most number of unique individuals. So if you are going on a cruise and are a bit hesitant to get out of your hermit shell and socialize, you need to let go of those feelings now – because once you do, you will surely be in for lots of fun!
There are different people that go on cruises, but the most important thing you need to know is that they are friendly and accommodating enough to get to know you and spend a little – or a lot, depending on the type and how well you and other people can hit it off – time with you. There are family types who bring with them the entire family, and you might feel a bit close to home as you find yourself interacting with a group of people who are of different ages yet are related to one another. On board, one might also get to know the more adventurous types. Usually in groups of three or four – or some even as big as nine or ten – these go-getting thrill seekers are all about the contests, the head rush of excitement and the active and energetic opportunities that they can get on board and when the cruise ship docks. If you were to socialize with these cruise ship participants, be prepared with your best running shoes and a bottle of water because you will surely be part of the chase! Of course, since seizing the opportunity is the name of the game, you will surely find it wonderful to be part of a active group!
There are also a lot of artsy types roaming around on board. Often going on cruises can be for the inspiration that they can get on board, share a paintbrush or a line of poetry or two with these inspired individuals. Remember, cruises are not just for exciting and noisy activities, it can also be a great respite and opportunities for solitary reflections for some people. Share with these individuals the view of an amazing sunset – which you might either attempt to capture with your yellow-tipped paintbrush or with a few inspired lines of poetry in a leather bound journal.
Of course, there are the average Joes and Janes that also take part in cruise ships, and these people are often on board for whatever they can get. Do try to be with a group that is interested enough to try out different things – even things that are outside their line of comfort. There are homey activities which you can share with such folk, such as your regular game of billiards or simply drinking a yummy martini at the bar. The surrealness of the situation is, however, in being able to do average and comfortable things not in your own home or at the bar right down the street – but in a very massive and awesomely luxurious boat.
Because so many people participate in cruises, you will surely find individuals whom you can share such a once in a lifetime opportunity with. You can meet people from all walks of life, each one having a personality more colorful than the last. The bottom line is, make sure you get to enjoy this opportunity with people whom you will be glad to have met.
